Deep cleaned. Safety inspected. We provide firefighter-run BBQ cleaning for homeowners in Airdrie and NW Calgary, with active firefighters handling the deep clean, visual safety inspection, and same-day report. Review our transparent pricing, see what is included in the emailed inspection report, and know that 5% of every clean goes directly to the Tim Jackson Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Flashpoint is the temperature at which grease ignites. Every firefighter knows this number. Most homeowners don't — until it's too late. A neglected grill can spread fire to your deck, your siding, and your home in under four minutes.
We've seen it happen. That's exactly why we started Flashpoint BBQ — serving homeowners across Airdrie and NW Calgary — and why every clean comes with a complimentary visual safety assessment performed by active firefighters. Not a bonus. The whole point.
At 482°F (250°C), accumulated grease ignites without warning. Our visual safety assessment gives you the awareness a dirty grill never will.
Before we clean a single part, we inspect your BBQ. If we determine it's beyond cleaning or can't be safely operated, we'll tell you honestly — charge our $79 inspection fee for our time, hold any remaining balance as a credit on your account, and help you find your next grill.
After every clean, we email you a detailed online inspection report — before & after photos, every safety assessment finding, flagged items with recommendations, personalised care tips for your specific BBQ model, and your 5% community contribution documented by name. A permanent digital record of your grill's condition, accessible anytime.
No other BBQ cleaning service in our market includes a professional safety inspection by active firefighters — and no one sends you a documented report with photos and tips after every visit. It's not a bonus. It's the whole point.
We're the only BBQ cleaning service that publishes pricing publicly. Every competitor makes you call. We believe you deserve to know what you're paying — and we're confident enough to show you.
After every Flashpoint clean, you receive a detailed online inspection report — emailed to you the same day. Before & after photos, every finding from our safety assessment, and personalised care tips specific to your BBQ model. It's a permanent digital record of your grill's condition — not just a receipt.
No other BBQ cleaning service does this. Most hand you a receipt and leave. We hand you a live online document — accessible anytime, linkable, shareable — that tells you exactly what condition your grill is in, what our firefighters found, and how to keep it that way.
Sometimes a clean isn't enough. If our firefighters spot a worn burner, a failing regulator, or a grill that's past its best — we connect you with trusted local partners who can actually help. No commissions. No kickbacks. Just an honest referral from people who know fire.
If we identify a burner, ignitor, regulator, or other component that needs replacement, we'll refer you to a trusted local supplier who carries the right parts for your specific grill model.
When a grill is beyond cleaning and it's time for something new, we work with local BBQ retailers we trust. No pressure. Just an honest recommendation from people who know what lasts.
Our visual assessment is performed by active firefighters — but it's not a licensed gas inspection. If we flag anything gas-related, we refer you directly to a licensed contractor who can properly address it.
Our referral relationships are built on trust, not commission. We only refer partners we'd send our own family to.

When you book a Flashpoint BBQ clean, 5% of your payment is donated directly to the Tim Jackson Memorial Scholarship Fund — before any other calculation. Not a vague pledge. Not a rounded-up cent. 5%. Every clean. Every time. You'll see it on your invoice.
Tim Jackson was a dedicated husband and father who gave countless hours as a Volunteer Firefighter, supporting the safety and wellbeing of the Airdrie community. He was also an active Scout Leader — someone who showed up for others as a matter of character, not obligation.
In 1997, Tim died as a result of injuries he sustained in a trench collapse at the age of 42. He was deeply respected throughout the Airdrie Fire Department. The Tim Jackson Memorial Scholarship Fund was created to keep his memory alive — and to recognise the same qualities Tim embodied in the next generation of Airdrie students.
Every year, Airdrie firefighters present Tim Jackson Memorial Scholarship awards at local high school awards nights to students who demonstrate citizenship and community service — the very values Tim lived by.
When we say firefighter-run, we mean it. Rob, Chris, and Jeremy built Flashpoint BBQ to give Airdrie homeowners a cleaner, safer service grounded in real fire safety experience, strong community roots, and work that actually means something.
Airdrie resident and dad of four, Rob handles bookings, scheduling, client communication, and the Flashpoint BBQ brand. He keeps the operation moving and drives the franchise vision behind Flashpoint's growth.

Balcony and patio grills are one of the most overlooked fire hazards in multi-unit properties. Flashpoint BBQ works with HOA boards and property managers to deliver professional BBQ cleaning and documented visual safety assessments — with active firefighters, fully insured service, and a paper trail for your property management file.
Every unit receives the same core offer: full professional deep clean, firefighter-led visual inspection, and a same-day online inspection report with photos, findings, and care tips. We work at our standard rates because the value is the documented fire-safety service itself, not a stripped-down bulk version.

Every clean includes full disassembly where appropriate, degreasing, scrubbing, reassembly, and a firefighter-led visual safety assessment. You also receive a same-day emailed inspection report with photos, findings, and care tips for your specific grill.
Flashpoint publishes pricing openly. Standard Grill Deep Clean is $185 + GST, Large / Built-In Clean is $265 + GST, and Inspection Only is $79 + GST. You can view the full breakdown in the pricing section before you book.
Standard grill cleans take approximately 2 hours. Large grill cleans take approximately 2.5 hours. Calgary area appointments include an additional 30-minute travel buffer. Heavily neglected grills may take extra time.
Yes. Built-ins, larger grills, and more involved outdoor cooking setups fall under the Large Grill / Built-In Clean option. If the setup is unusually complex, you can leave notes during booking so the team arrives prepared.
The team inspects the grill before cleaning begins. If the BBQ is unsafe to operate or too far gone to justify a clean, Flashpoint stops, explains the findings honestly, charges the inspection-only fee for the visit, and holds the remaining balance as a credit on your account.
Someone should be available if access is gated, if pets need to be managed, or if there are any location-specific instructions. If access is simple and arranged in advance, include clear notes during booking so the team knows exactly what to expect.
Gift card purchases create a Flashpoint gift card code. The purchaser receives confirmation, and the recipient can enter that code during online booking to apply the balance automatically. Gift cards can cover part of a booking or the full total.
Yes. If the gift card balance does not cover the full booking total, the remaining amount is charged normally at checkout. If the gift card covers the whole booking, no additional card payment is required.
Flashpoint BBQ primarily serves Airdrie and NW Calgary. If your address is outside the immediate core area, available booking times may include travel buffers that are already accounted for in the online scheduler.
Your online inspection report is emailed the same day as your clean. It includes before-and-after photos, safety findings, any flagged items, and your documented 5% contribution to the Tim Jackson Memorial Scholarship Fund.
